What Does A Pimple Above Clitoris Indicate?

Question: About 3 days ago I started developing what now looks almost exactly like a whitehead pimple directly above my clitoris but well below the hairline. It started out just a little sore and I thought maybe my husband just needs a manicure but I discovered the whitehead with a mirror this morning when I decided to take a good look since it wasn't going away. It doesn't bother me much when standing but when sitting it seems the pressure of my jeans makes it sore as all get out. I have no history of any STD's and have had the same partner for 22 years who also has no history of STD's. I am trying to determine whether I just need hot compresses or whether I need to go to MedExpress tomorrow since I have no regular gyny. Is it even possible to get a pimple there? I am a 46 year old woman, 5'6", 245 lbs with no health issues except being fat.

Hello dear ,I understand your concern. Iam sorry for your condition.
In my opinion you might be having simple hair follicle infection called folliculitis or sebaceous gland infection. Because it is single and no other lesions at other sites like vulva,cervix or rectum.

My aim is not to make you tense but better to be done VDRL test which is for syphilis for both partners just to rule out that.Because in primary syphilis you see a single indurated lesion but of course on clitoris,cervix,labia majora or labia minora.

Give hot compression. And you may need a course of antibiotics .pus is sent for culture and sensitivity and suitable antibiotic is given.

Wear loose undergarments and prefer cotton ones.

And it will subside....don't worry.

Thank you so much. I spent most of last night and this morning with hot compresses and this morning the whitehead popped. Left 2 almost microscopic drops of blood on cloth when it did and now it is only a teeny tiny bit sore. Will keep doing the compresses till tenderness goes away completely and will go to the care center if it don't or of it comes back.

I was kind of really worried last night since that had never happened before and am so glad I found this site. It saved me what could have been $200 at the care center.

Kindly observe the lesion closely regarding the size and inflammation around it.
Most of them will respond with a mild course of antibiotic.
Apply some anti septic cream and do dressing daily until it heals completely.
