What Does A Skin Growth On Inner Thigh Indicate?
Question: I have a problem with something that grew on my inner upper thigh. I had it for 5 years now. I have no clue what it is. I thought it would go away by its self but it didn't. its not a pus at all. its soft and wrinkle like a raisin. it doesn't hurt at all. It use to have a circular shape, but now as time had pass, it has lost its shape. This might sound crazy but I tried to tie a thread around it to cut the circulation hoping it would fall off but it started hurting. I know now that it has nerves in it too. Truthfully, it look and feel like its an extra piece of skin that grew out my body and just stayed there. do u have any clue what this could be?
Brief Answer:
It is likely a Papilloma.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX. It is most likely a Papilloma or in simple terms a benign or harmless growth from the skin. You should get it removed by a minor surgical procedure. You will have to take an aappointment with your Doctor or Surgeon who can easily get it scheduled for you. It can even be done in the Out patient department. Do not fear, they will inject anaesthetic agent in the area and you will not have any pain. Once they remove it the wound will heal within a week. They will also send it for Biopsy to the Lab which will confirm in 7 to 10 days what it was. Take care and let me know if I can answer any more queries regarding this problem. Take care.
