I have sent you an e mail with a photo of the spot on my lip
Brief Answer:
Possible blood blister,ENT consultation is needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I have gone through the photo you sent me and noticed the purple spot on your lower lip.
It seems like a blood blister spot to me, it might be related to:
- perhaps you have the habit of biting your lower lip
- you had a trauma (face, lips, very rough biting of foods, recent dental work you did, etc.)
- possible hemangioma
- any drug you might be using
- allergic reaction to any food, insect bites, etc. you might have faced recently
- dry lips (especially if the weather at the place you live is getting warm)
- lipsticks you use (especially if they are old and expired or causing you lips to dry up)
Although the spot seems to be harmless, if I was your caring doctor would advise to see an ENT specialist and run biopsy if needed.
Hope it was of help! Let me know if I can assist you further! If no other queries, kindly rate my answer when closing the thread.
