What Does Absence Of Yolk Sac During Pregnancy Indicate?
Question: I am 4 week 4 days pregnant ..iui done on 17 and ovulation date is 17 or 18. My gestation sac is 12.2 mm on 2 days back when i went for U/c. But there was no yolk sac or embryo seen. doc asked me comeback 1 week later for next u/c. asked radiologist and he said baby will come by next week or 10 days. LMP was on 27-Oct. is every thing fine..should i be worried?
Brief Answer:
everything is normal
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
Everything seems to be fine and it is too early for yolk sac or fetal pole to appear.
Wait for ten days and get the ultrasound repeated.
There is nothing to worry and nest part is that the sac is intrauterine.
Just keep taking your medicine on time and wait for the ultrasound.
All the best.

Thanks Doc....one last question As IUI was done on 17-Nov and first HCG was on 03-Dec and at that time count was 122. Next HCG was on 13 and count was 9400. Third HCG was 16-Dec and count was 12200. Is this normal as after 13 dec till 16 dec it was not doubled as it should have in general....thanks for all the help.....
Brief Answer:
too early to decide
Detailed Answer:
HCG is time dependent but ideally it should have doubled by then but still it is too premature to comment.
Only contribution right now can be timely intake of medicine and rest as much as possible.
Ultrasound after ten days will give us the confirmatory verdict.
Wish you the best of health.
