Dear Dr. Biswas, I have a nabothian cyst that measures 4mm x 3 mm involving the cervix. The endometrial stripe measures 10 mm. Is that normal? Also could the light spotting on and off for several weeks now be coming from the cyst? XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
NO it is not normal.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Nobothian cyst of 4 x 3 mm is normal.
Endometrial stripe of 10 mm at age of 60 is definitely abnormal. It should be less than 4 mm.
This endometrium is the reason of spotting and not the nabothian cyst.
You have to do a curettage and get the endometrium investigated.
Regards.
