Brief Answer:
Its a normal course of acute viral hepatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist. Such an increase in sgpt suggest that it is acute viral hepatitis. I will suggest few tests like IgM anti HAV antibody, IgM anti HEV antibody, HBsag and Prothrombin time. This is a normal course of acute viral hepatitis so need not to worry. It will resolve. Keep in touch with your doctor. Take normal diet. Don't do any restriction in diet. Take rest too. spontaneously. I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. Wish you a good health. If you have further query I will like to answer that too.

Brief Answer:
Normal diet and bilirubin will also start decreasing with time

Detailed Answer:
Welccome back. This is what I have mentioned earlier that as liver enzymes have started decreasing, bilirubin will also start decreasing in few days. There is nothing to panic, it will take time but will resolve. Diet restriction is never recommended in patients with acute viral hepatitis, one should take normal diet as he was taking before the illness and this I found very useful in my patients too. So eat whatever you like but it should be hygienic and healthy. It is against the policy of HCM to provide number so please forgive me. I am sorry for that. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
