Question: my 2yr old daughter has a small indent the size of a peanut directly above her navel. hernia? no pain and no protrusions. no redness.

Can abdominal wall defect.

There is small indentation. This can later on turn into hernia.
It seems to an abdominal wall defect.
I would advise you to get a surgical consultation to your child as a physical examination will reveal the status.
An Ultrasound might also be required.
