Question: Hi Doctor
My daugher is 4 years old & she has been identified with cylindrical power of 0.75 in both eyes. I have the problem too.
1)Does that mean she has to wear spectacles or do we have other options.

Brief Answer:
She needs to wear spectacles.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

It seems from the history that your daughter is having refractive error in the form of astigmatism.
Refractive error is a common problem in children and it needs to be diagnosed early and treated to prevent further increase in refractive power.
Since it is diagnosed early no need to worry.
She needs to wear spectacles for treatment of this and use of spectacles will prevent further increase in refractive error.
In children the refractive error is known to increase or decrease because of growth of eye ball. She needs eye examination at frequent intervals, once in 6-12 months to find out any variation and correction for it.
I cannot say it will decrease but it can decrease as the age advances.
As of now she needs to wear glasses regularly and take foods rich in vitamin A to prevent progression of refractive error.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
