Brief Answer:
the urine culture growth is significant

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,

The Urine report provided by you appears grossly normal except for isolation haemolytic bacteria.
After urine is taken for culture and antibiotic sensitivity, they are inoculated on culture plate. After 48 hours of incubation, CFU or colony forming unit is calculated. A count of more than 100000 CFU is considered significant growth of bacteria. Any count less than that is usually due to contamination of sample by bacteria on genital skin(provided individual has not taken antibiotics).

As your daughter had received antibiotics, the count is considered significant(25000-50000).

Do get back to me with detailed history and other investigation(including CT scan).

Take care

Best Regards

ORIGINAL REPORT - 13-Oct-2014 19:45:00 SMH
EXAM: CT Enterographpy of the Abdomen and Pelvis with oral and IV
contrast.
COMPARISON: Abdominal ultrasound 10/9/2014.
FINDINGS: Small bowel is normal in appearance. No bowel wall
thickening or mucosal hyperenhancement. No evidence of strictures or
obstruction. The terminal ileum, specifically, is normal in
appearance. Moderate amount of stool throughout the colon. There is a
suggestion of mild thickening of the wall of a short segment of the
mid transverse colon(series 3/85, series2/136). This may be due to
relative nondistention but an element of inflammation cannot be
entirely excluded. Colon is otherewise normal in appearance. No
adenopathy, free fluid, or free air.
The liver, gallbladder, spleen, adrenal glands, and pancreas are normal
in appearance. No biliary dilatation. Spleen measures 11.2 cm in
length. Mild pyelocaliectasis. Mildly lobular contour of the upper
pole of the right kidney which may be developmental. Kidneys are
otherwise normal in appearance. Right kidney measures 11.2 cm and the
left measures 12.7 cm in length.
The visualized lung bases are clear.

Brief Answer:
Urinary tract is normal

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

There is nothing in the report to suggest the cause for pain in abdomen. As scan report of Kidney ureter and bladder is normal there is no cause for concern.

This episode can be treated with appropriate antibiotics, as there is no anatomical abnormality in the Urinary system there is no cause for concern.

Take care

Dr Deepak
