Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and I can understand your concern.

Having two periods in a month is abnormal but you don't need to worry.Usually the cause is just a hormonal imbalance.Factors like weight changes (considerable weight loss or gain) ,excessive exercises, stress can cause such problem.

If you don't have other symptoms like abdominal pain, abnormal vaginal discharge etc you don't need to worry.
Try to relax, manage stress (if this is a difficult period for you).Try to eat well and rest a lot.
I would suggest to give it some time and if your periods continue to come every two weeks or more, you may need to consult an OB-GYN doctor for proper evaluation.
In this case possible causes include :infections, uterine fibroids ,polyps, cyst, thyroid problems etc.
Usually this problem is temporary and periods become regular again on their own.

Hope it helps.
Please feel free to ask for any question that you might have.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
