What Does Large Bowel Movements Causing Pain Indicate?

Posted on Thu, 12 Mar 2015
Question: Good day. I am getting notes ready for new doctor.
Can you explain why first colonoscopy started more issues in colon? and, I had two large BM's this week and felt like a war is going on; a lot of movement, pain, and infrequent incontinence; usually after having normal movement. I think I have answers to many things ignored, but checking to make sure everything is covered by right test. I'm breaking rules by contacting you and offer to increase my fee because of your knowledge, kindness, and willingness to put up with me.

Brief Answer:
Could be adhesions

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I am sure the moderators will allow you specific questions

I need to refer the consultations as with the volume of patients that we consult day in day out, It would be difficult recollecting the initial discussion

The large bowel movements causing pain could be because of adhesions from repeated surgery

It would be appreciated if you prepare the complete note and send it to me for the inputs

No need to pay extra, it is against the ethics of our forum

24" colon removed through abdomen; infection, hernia, abdomen covered in mesh; colon put in side of rectum with mesh; pain in sacrum; problems in beginning but, colonoscopy really tore me up and pain is in transverse and appears to be at site he removed colon. Also, bm causes extreme pain/pressure up against whatever is included in mesh repair. Pulling from removal site; redundant transverse colon. prolapse returned. Treated with drugs as I was labeled chronic pain after MVA. MRI scheduled and, ultrasound but exact area to have ultrasound I'm not sure. I'm coaching new doctor as a lot of background she's not aware of but she's intested and moving ahead. Pain is also at rectum like I have something poking me - end of tailbone.
Hope this helps. How many questions do you get a day? I know you deal with your patients and your own pain; I am grateful to sort through what you have provided and, I got answers as to why breathing is restricted and epidural did cause pain as the nerves branched out going into back and leg. So much of this was not addressed. Thank you very much. I know pain isn't in the colon;it pushes up against what ever is there and seems to be falling. Ultrasound of entire abdomen? I will do anything to prevent a colostomy; and I had a perect abdomen, no pain, no issues; I made a bad choice. Best to you and thank you for getting me through this onto new eyes and I'm much more educated.

Brief Answer:
Yes Ultrasound of entire abdomen

Detailed Answer:
The colonoscopy and large bowels would have caused pain because of the adhesions I presume

I would like to see the whole abdomen during the ultrasound examination

As mentioned earlier some one some good day will bring a resolution to all your issues

DO keep me updated on the MRI and ultrasound
