What Does Light Brown Menstrual Bleeding Indicate?
Question: hi doctor,i was diagonised for plural effusion and it result chest infection ,doctor has prescribed me tb medicine such as rcinex cumbotol etc , i always have irregular period,,,,,,,, i stopped my tb medicine on XXXXXXX 1st week ,i have taken medicines for 9 months and completed the course, the last period i got on XXXXXXX 14th 2014after tat on april 20 i had 4 days light brown bleeding followed by the two days light bleeding in red colour... and now it stopped......is tat my periods?if it is not my period then y still i didnt have it? i am 24 yrs girl married for two yrs and trying to concive, i dont have any other sex partner. i am very much worried i dont have any other symptoms except tat ,but i m taking100 mg of thyroid medicine and it is normal,,,,,,,,,,i ant to get concive pls help me wat should i do/? is tat releated with any serious problem,

IS your recent TSH level normal ?
Given the history of irregular cycles and being unable to conceive for more than 2 years now, please consult an Infertility specialist at the earliest.
I will outline what needs to be done -
1. Basic blood investigations - blood group, complete blood count, viral markers, OGTT ( sugar test ) , TSH , THalassemia screen - for both partners.
2. Then, since you have irregular cycles, special hormonal tests for yourself - FSH, LH, AMH, Prolactin, DHEAS, Free testosterone, SHBG.
3. Next, a cycle of follicular monitoring - the growth of the egg follicle is tracked by serial pelvic ultrasound scans to check if you are ovulating properly. Since your cycles are irregular, probability is high that ovulation also is erratic.
4. Semen analysis of your husband.
5. Endometrial biopsy and tissue culture of endometrium ( lining of the uterus ) for TB by TB PCR test. Possibility is high that with pulmonary ( lung ) TB, you had genital tuberculosis also, which can affect the uterus, tubes and ovaries.
6. If ovulation is defective, go for follicular stimulation with medications like Clomiphene citrate.
7. If 3 - 6 cycles of treatment fail wherein you ovulated properly, then a laparoscopy with hysteroscopy should be done to check if your fallopian tubes are open or blocked.
8. If there is tubal block, you might need IVF - in vitro fertilization.
Do not waste more time, and consult a doctor for above mentioned workup at once.
Maintain ideal BMI ( weight ) and take regular folic acid supplements and exercise plus meditate regularly.

my glucose fasting plasma is 77
my AMH is 10.77
my E2 is 52.84
my prolactin is 6.92
in hemogram test my rbc is 4.86 and esr is 33
my fsh is 5.43
my LH is 6.53

y u r saying to go to fertility doctor ,,what happened to me ,i am very much scared ,y u told about endom biospy pls tel me briefly wat happened to me ,,,,,,,pls help i am scared, and will endo biospy will pain?
