Mumps is diagnosed by swelling of Parotid (salivary glands).It is due to viral cause and it is generally self limiting.It only requires supportive care and infection will pass within one or two weeks. Application of warm or cool compression to the swollen glands help in relieving pain. She should also take Ibuprofen + Paracetamol syrup or tablet depending upon her body weight.It will decrease her fever and pain.
