What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

White Blood Count 10.5 (range 4.5 - 13.5)
Red Blood Cell Count 4.3 (range 4.0 - 4.9)
MCH 30 (range 25-29)
Neutrophils 36 (range 36-74)
Lymphocytes 53 (range 14 - 48)
Monocytes 1 (range 0.3 - 0.9)
On his comprehensive metabolic profile everything was within normal range with the exception of the following:
BUN 26 (range 7-24)
Creatine 0.5 (range 0.7-1.2)
His TSH was normal (2.97) as was his SED Rate (3)
Do his results warrant any further investigation or concern? I also wanted to add that he has not had any recent infection, fever or illness. He does sometimes have a scratchy voice and has a small pea-sized lump under his chin that has been there for several weeks. He also has chronic belly pain. He has seen a doctor for it but his stomach feels soft and they haven't determined a cause.
Possible Adenotonsillary enlargement
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Sir.
I can certainly understand your concerns.
I have worked through your query in detail.
Diffuse fullness of Waldeyer's ring could suggest Chronic adenotonsillary enlargement in children. This could be one of the common causes in children.
Pea sized swelling chin could likely represent a local lymph nodal swelling.
Mild elevation of lymphocyte and Monocyte count usually suggest a longstanding process enlargement of Adenoids and Tonsils.
These may also explain the change in voice.
Direct visualization of oropharynx under iillumination is often required to confirm our findings.
Chronic belly pain in presence of soft abdomen often reflect functional pain with no major significance. It would be better if an ultrasound abdomen is obtained and organic causes are ruled out.
Consulting an Expert Otolaryngologist will help to carry out the Oropharynx examination.
Apart from this, no major investigative work up is needed.
If adenotonsillary enlargement is detected, either a conservative or surgical management is carried out.
Post your further queries if any.
