What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Question: My daughter is 10 and I found a bony hard lump on the side of her spine. Took her to the doctor, he did xrays and him nor the radiologist saw anything of concern. We plan on scheduling an MRI, waiting for insurance approval. To ease my mind, how likely is this lump cancer? It's hard, feels like bone, not attached to skin, skin moves freely, however the lump doesn't move much. It feels smooth. When she stands up straight it is less noticable then when she bends. No pain unless you press hard on the lump. Today it seems to be a bit smaller then when I took her to the doctor.
Brief Answer:
Soft tissue mass.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your.
You have already visit doctor and he has already seen and saying about xray that nothing could be found there, so I advise you not to take any tension about it, because it may be simple mass in muscles around spine or lymphoma.
Although, nothing could be said without the report of MRI scan.
But I still advise you to be calm and get MRI scan as early as possible.
Thanks,

If this was your child, how concerned would you be?
Brief Answer:
Leave insurance and get MRI scan done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If she was my child, then would not wait for my insurance to clear, I would go straight forward for MRI SCAN.
If you are so concerned of your child then why are you waiting for insurance.
Let the insurance go to hell.
Get MRI scan of your child.
We will discuss it.
