What Does My MRI Scan Test Report Indicate?
Question: My mother is 56 years old and she was having occassional vertigo few days back, so the neurologist advised her brain mri.
The mri impression says:
IMPRESSION : Subcortical and periventricular FLAIR hyperintense foci noted suggestive of ischaemic changes.

The Mri findings are age related and may be present in patients with hypertension or diabetes.
The vertigo is not related to such Mri findings.
Is there any hypertension, diabetes, or other medical illness?
Any hearing loss, ear discharge?
Any walking difficulties?
Any rhinitis?
Any neck pain, loss of consciousness?
Duration of vertigo and any relationship to posture?
For treatment she can take adequate fluid.
Cinnarizine or betahistine tablet can be taken for 1-2 weeks for releif.
