Question: Hi Doctor
Recently i did total health check up. Everything is good except below Cholesterol related items. Please suggest how to increase HDL and reduce Triglycerides.

TRIGLYCERIDES - SERUM - 206
LDL CHOLESTEROL - SERUM / PLASMA:(Calculated) - 97.8
HDL CHOLESTEROL - SERUM / PLASMA - 33
TOTAL CHOLESTEROL/HDL CHOLESTEROL RATIO(Calculated) - 5.2
VLDL CHOLESTEROL - SERUM - CALCULATED - 41.2

You need lifestyle changes

Hi and thanks for your query.

You lipid profile is only mildly deranged and you do not need medicines to correct it. However you definitely need lifestyle changes.

In diet please avoid high calorie foods like milk products like butter, ghee, sweets, etc. Increase fiber content n your diet by taking more of fruits and salad.
You also need to exercise regularly for atleast 30nmin a day. Exercise can be a combination of various exercises like gym, walk, yoga, swimming, etc.
