What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?
Question: I am a 49 year old female and had to do additional blood work and see a Rhuematoid specialist since my ANA was positive twice. So my results came back and my protein urine value is 8.4; my creatinine urine value is 158 and my protein/creatinine urine value is 0.05. Can you please tell me what this means?

I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.
Normally there is NIL proteins in the urine meaning the kidneys never allow filtration of proteins from blood into urine. But if there are proteins in urine it means the kidneys are damaged and there is some underlying systemic or the primary kidney disease present. Your protein level in urine is high and needs attention. For high protein in urine, causes may be high blood pressure, Diabetes mellitus, SLE, heart failure etc.
If we take 24hour urine sample, creatinine levels are normally in the range of 500-2000 mg/day in most labs. I don't know your urine collection was 24 hourly collected sample or random. Can you please upload a picture of the blood report for better analysis and further comments.
