What Does My Echocardigram Test Result Indicate?

are you tall individual?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
From what you have mentioned and the information you gave to me, I suspect your doctor meant to say you could have MVP ( mitral valve prolapse).
Its a condition where there is slight leak of blood from left ventricle to left atrium due to prolapse of 1 leaflet of the mitral valve.
It is commonly seen in males who are tall and fit. But it is not harmful condition unless it is very low grade.
So are you a tall individual? If the answer is yes you might have MVP and it will very slight grade that it can be ignored safely.
I guess that was what your cardiologist might have meant.
I hope I have answered your query well.
if you have any questions kindly ask me back.
Thank you

I mean I'm quite fit.
kindly read ahead
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for following up with me.
I am sorry but in the information page it was written as male 38yrs old so I assumed the same. Whenever you upload any question kindly put the age and sex of the person for whom question is asked. I am sorry to assume the same.
Anyways with the new information you provided, it can be seen in some patients. Slight leak usually means some of the blood might be leaking back to the previous chamber. It could be very trivial but yes the echocardiograph can pick it up as it is sensitive.
I think you need not worry about it as your doctors have told you.
You can surely do moderate exercises appropriate for your age and capacity.
If you are fit and healthy with no symptoms pertaining to cardiac conditions, I do not see any need to be worried of.
Yes you can carry on your day to day activities and even exercises without any worry.
If you could upload a photo of the echo report in case if you have it, I could have taken a look at it just to be sure. But all said and done, if your both doctors find it nothing to be worry about, then you should also relax about it.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back will be happy to answer them.
Thank you
