Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concerns for the Echocardiography report which shows mild mitral valve prolapse with mild mitral regurgitation.
It is a benign condition and hence not associated with any serious heart disease.
Mitral valve regurgitation is often mild and progresses slowly. You may have no symptoms for decades and be unaware that you have this condition, and it might not progress.
Do you have the following symptoms:
1. Shortness of breath, especially with exertion or when you lie down
2. Fatigue, especially during times of increased activity
3. Sensations of a rapid, fluttering heartbeat (palpitations)
4. Swollen feet or ankles
Looking forward to received the above information.
Best regards.
