What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?

Borderline Hyperthyroid state.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
I welcome you to the HCM platform.
I have gone through your wife's Thyroid reports. The reports do show that there is marginal hyperthyroid state; however, it is not very serious and can be treated easily with Thyroxin.
State of hyperthyroidism or Thyrotoxicosis during pregnancy is not a new occurrence, but is usually continued disorder from the non-pregnant state. These disorders could be one of the following:
Graves’ disease
Transient gestational hyperthyroidism
Toxic multinodular goitre
Single toxic adenoma
Subacute thyroiditis
Trophoblastic tumour
Iodide induced hyperthyroidism
Struma ovarii
Thyrotrophin receptor activation
Hyperthoiroidism does have some ill effects on the course of pregnancy, which can be Pre-eclampsia, heart failure, foetal loss, premature labour, and having a low birthweight baby are more likely to occur in untreated or poorly controlled thyrotoxic women.
I would advise you to report with this report to the Obstetrician and the Endocrinologist to start the treatment of Thyroxin (if needed, since it is borderline). Meanwhile do not give her iodized salt. Give her plain salt.
What was the indication of doing the thyroid function test? Was it a routine test or it was performed due to some symptoms? Have you performed other routine blood and urine tests? If so please upload the reports also.
I feel this should give you initial guidance. With more reports and advice from the endocrinologists, we can discuss the matter further.
Of course, for any more information, I am always available for you, XXXXXXX

Follow the medical advice
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
If it was a routine test, it means that there were no symptoms present. Now in order to prevent progress of the disorder and in order to prevent any complication in the course of pregnancy or ill effects on the baby, please manage the condition with the help of your Obstetrician and Endocrinologist. No self medication please.
Usually, these Thyorid disorders pre-existing from non-pregnant state continue through out the life. Hence, please do not be complacent after the childbirth. Monitoring Thyroid function is imperative and accordingly you will have to titrate the dose of Throxin (or similar medicine of another brand) to keep the disorder in control.
In case of her mood changes or irritability, please be with her. Such changes are due to Thyroid dysfunction and/or overdose of the medicine. If she feels very hungry and looses her weight in spite of OVEREATING, please report to the doctor as this indicates that the Hyperthyoidism is progressing.
I hope I am have given you necessary information and you will follow the suggestions. If you are satisfied with the medical advice and information, would you post it so in details with 5 stars rating for me?
Please do not hesitate to ask any information, even in future; I am always available for you, XXXXXXX I shall be keen in knowing the progress.
