Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!

You are reporting to have Alt 151 that is moderately elevated, Ast is upper limit of normal, cholesterol is mild elevated.
At your situation I need more medical information like:
- are you overweight?
- do you use alcohol?

If I were your treating doctor I would suggest to do:
- abdominal ultrasound
- serological test for hepatitis like HbsAg, Anti- HCV
- GGT
Hope it was helpful to you!

Brief Answer:
Please follow the suggestion below...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back
Since you are overweight and you have mild elevated level of cholesterol than the most probable cause of high ALT level is fatty liver .

Otherwise other causes of your findings that should be ruled out are:
- gallbladder issues like sludge or stones( abdominal ultrasound)
- hepatitis B and C.
Meantime I suggest to :
- try to lose weight
- increase physical activity
- avoid fatty and sugar foods
Hope it was helpful to you!

Brief Answer:
I'm waiting for the requested information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Paint fumes and mold may affect liver function amd cause elevated enzymes.

However, it all depends on the time of exposition and the type of paint fumes (different products has different toxicity effect on liver).

Can you upload the type of paint fumes and how long has you been exposed?

I'm waiting for the requested information!
Meanwhile, wish you health!

24 hour exposre to waterbased paint and possibly 3 year exposure to mold in an old building that I work in
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Klerida Shehu (18 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Please follow....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back
With regards to water based paint exposure only for 24 hours, it is unlikely to cause immediately elevated liver panel without other symptoms of toxicity ( vomiting, jaundice, breath difficulty).

You are reporting to have been exposured for 3 years to mold in old building. Yes this may be a cuase of your elevated transaminases. In such cases should be ruled out liver infections( like sarcoidosis) that can cause high AST and ALT level. Please perform the exams that I mentioned above.

Hope it was helpful to you!
