What Does My Lab Test Result Indicate?
possible S.Typhoid positive, needs further details and clinical correlation
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..
First of all it's the value of WIDAL test which is done to determine and/ rule out typhoid and paratyphoid infection..
Typhi H 1:80 is the flagellar antigen of Salmonella Typhi and the test value range is indicative of a negative result..
Typhi O 1:160 is the capsular antigen of Salmonella Typhi and the test value range is showing positive result in this regard..
That being said, may or may not mean that your having typhoid infection as it needs the complete history, physical examination and clinical correlation with the WIDAL report and other reports if performed..
So let me know the details regarding this so that I can guide you further..
However i'd also suggest a visit to an Internal Medicine specialist for a detailed clinical evaluation and clinical correlation(as WIDAL is not really a conclusive test in this regard)..
Take Care
Kind Regards
