Brief Answer:
It suggests positive for typhoid

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Thanks for writing in to us at hcm.
This is Dr.Riyanka and I am glad to be helping you with your query.

Widal Test is a diagnostic agglutination test . It detects agglutinins/ antibodies for H and O antigens in patients blood having typhoid and paratyphoid infection caused by salmonella typhi and paratyphi respectively.

The titre showing agglutination 1:160 of H antigen and AH antigen indicates you are positive for salmonella typhi infection and paratyphi as well.

Widal test has many limitations like :
1. The titre increases only after first week of infection.
2. Instead of a single test a series of tests will help know the rise in titre of antibodies.

Hence, i suggest kindly consult a physician and start taking treatment immediately.
The following medications are helpful in typhoid:

1. Tablet Ciprofloxacin(500mg) and tinidazole(600mg) combination for twice daily for ten days.
2. Tablet pantoprazole 40 mg daily in the morning atleast half an hour before breakfast for 10 days.
3. Tablet lactobacillus twice daily for 10 days.
4.Tablet paracetamol 500mg thrice a day for fever.

Take semi liquid diet, mashed rice and curd. Avoid spicy food. drink soups and lots of fluids.

Hope this answers your query. Don't worry .
