What Does My Sonogram Test Report Indicate?
Question: My doctor just prescribed Atorvastatin ,the results of my sonogram showed signs of plague building in my legs which have been cramping for about a year. but my cholesterol is 164.will this medicine help the cramps my potassium was low but it always seems to be low 3.4,
Brief Answer:
Yes,but over a long time!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much of this query.
This drug will help prevent further buildup. In the long run, it can help relief and reduce the narrowed blood vessel and improve blood circulation to the legs. This will reduce the cramps that you experience especially during exercise. However, this is not going to be an immediate relief. Pain medications would still be needed to help with this. If your potassium has always been this low, there will be no reason to ascribe the recent pains to that.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
