What Does My Sperm Analysis Report Indicate?
Question: Hello, we had a failed IVF last month from 17 embroys 9 were fertilezed and 3 were transfered with 6 embroys are been frozen. My sperm count is 40 Milln with morphality 80 % and Motlity 70 % but on the day of Egg pickup I had a very tensed night so masturabtion didn't worked well nd I ejcualted with soft errection...... my question 1. Do sperm count become less with soft errection 2. Is this the reason of not getting sucess of IVF if yes then why 9 embroys were fertilezed good 3. My wife have Bicournate Uterus and Endromestics also but after IVF BHCG was 11.48 which seems to be slight pregnancy..... So soft errection sperm was the reason of Slight pregnancy
Brief Answer:
Sperm is not responsible for failure
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about failed implantation.
Your sperm or soft erection is absolutely not the reason for failure of implantation.
Bicornuate uterus could be a problem. Please send me details about how bad is Bicornuate uterus. Embryo transfer is difficult in Bicornuate uterus.
All eggs cannot be fertilized. Hence 9 embryo formation is normal.
Soft erection is no way associated with failure or semen quality.
Regards

Thank you Dr XXXXXXX I was very tensed since the failure of IVF and also was concern should we go for FET as Dr suggested us for next month.
Well Pelvis ultrasound Report is
Retroverted septate uterus mesures 6.8x3.9x5.6 cm with XXXXXXX septal thickness measuring about 1.7 mm. No definite evidence of any diffuse or focal myometrial lesion seen.
Endometrial thickness is 7.8mm and is well delinested.
Both the ovaried are well visualized and appear normal. RT ovry measure about 10.6cc involum. Left ovry measure abt 4.5x3.0 cmnd shows 12mm largest follicle
Multiple left renal concreation and XXXXXXX calculi. Septate uterus. My wife age is 28 nd my is 32
This is the report and we done hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy.
Report of hysteroscopy.
2.9 mm 30o bettocchi hysteroscope used goodview under normal saline as distending medium
Cervical canal was normal
Uterine cavity showed big septum hencesptum resection done using scissors
Endometrium was unhealthy & fluffy.
After this we had tried naturally 1 month with medicen as prescribed and then we tried IVF last month now will go for FET next month.
What are the chances of sucess in FET and with Bicournate utreus.

Brief Answer:
This is not Bicornuate uterus
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This was septate uterus and not Bicornuate uterus. This should have been corrected after Hysteroscopic septal resection.
Hence repeat Hysteroscopy to check if septum has been resected out completely as the septum was big.
This is to confirm the complete resection of septum which can be reason for failure if resection is incomplete.
There is good chance of pregnancy after repeat Hysteroscopy.
