What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
Question: 8 weeks gestational age. Sure of dates. Fetal pole measuring at 3mm and gestational sac at 22mm. HCG at 7 weeks was 22000 with no visible fetal pole. Could this be a viable pregnancy?
Brief Answer:
less chance of viability in future
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
No this pregnancy cannot be viable as it is already an eight week pregnancy and still there is no heart beat which appears maximum by 7 weeks.
But still you can wait for a week and see in case there is any growth or the appearence of heart beat.
This is the case if it is your first ultrasound but in case there was another ultrasound prior to this one showing no growth then chances of viability in near future is unlikely.
Till then take full bed rest and keep taking all the medicines as advised.
Hope for the best.
