What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Please help I am really confused. My last period was the 28th January 2017. I have a positive pregnancy test. I booked in for an early private scan where I thought I would be 8 weeks. They said I was 5 to 6 weeks and could only see gestational sac and yolk but no fetal pole. How can I only be 5 to 6 weeks pregnant if I not had a period for 8 weeks? I have no bleeding no pain or anything. Can I still have a healthy baby or has it died? Please help asap I am.worried sick its my first baby taken 5 years to conceive. My periods are between 24 days and 34 days so makes ovulation different each month. The sonographer didnt sound hopeful at all.

What if no fetal pole is there does it mean not a viable pregnancy. Would a pregnancy test keep positive if it was not viable. I will ask no more questions. Thanks
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If fetal pole is not seen, it's not viable pregnancy.
It's possible that fetal pole appears later.
Please feel free to ask more questions.

Could tomorrow still be too early what chance do.you think I have of a viable pregnancy? Is it higher than not viable? What is the maximum weeks to see a pole? Is it good I have a sac and a yolk. My breasts are tender today and I feel very sick but dont know if its my mind playing tricks
Brief Answer:
Heart beat should come
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
At the beta hCG levels you mentioned, it is possible that we will see heart beat of baby.
By 8 weeks, if ovulation has occurred at right time, will lead to fetal pole, yolk sac and heart beat.
