What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Question: I am 5.5 weeks pregnant. I am having spotting for 2 days. I went to emergency unit. They did an internal and said cervix was closed which is a good sign. They said to go back if bleeding gets heavy or I get pain. I have no pain. Ultrasound said everything is developing I have the gestational sac though irregular shape with a yolk and a very tiny baby. No heartbeat at the moment said it is too soon. Am I going to have a miscarriage? If so will I miscarry again if I try again but I am hoping to have a successful pregnancy do you see that possible
Brief Answer:
Can be a successful pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Mild spotting at 5.5 weeks that you are having can be due to an implantation bleeding. The presence of yolk sac suggests a viable pregnancy. No need to worry. Take rest and get a repeat scan done after a week to detect the cardiac activity. Chances of a normal viable pregnancy are present.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
