What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Question: Hi i am carrying DC/DA twins and i am 28 weeks now. During ultrasound scan, one baby appears normal and another one has bilateral short and bowed femur. What does this mean? Will it affect baby's walking ability? Pls advice. We are confused and worried.

Hello user.
It is already 28 weeks so there is no option for termination.Child may or may not have walking disabilty. You have to deliver both the babies and correct it post delivery.Paedatric orthopedician will guide better.
Thanks.
You can ask if any further query.

Hi thanks for the reply. I want to know if it can be corrected after delivery. Is there any treatment available to correct this post delivery or will it be cured naturally as baby grows? Kindly give detailed answer
Brief Answer:
Hello user,Do not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello user.
Yes,it can be corrected post delivery. But difficult to correct successfully. One leg will be small.Baby will face problem while walking if not corrected.Need operative treatment. But 100 percent treatment is still doubt full in XXXXXXX Baby need to be examined by orthopaedic paedatrician and surgery depends on the type of defect baby has post delivery.
THANKS.
