What Does My Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

Question: My mother got this report from a radiologist I'm very concerned should i be?
Brief Answer:
You should follow your doctor advised.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting HCM about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
I have gone through her ultrasound report and sorry to say but it may be a cause of concern.
As at her age this complex mass could be due to ovarian cancer and you should follow what your doctor had advised and get further investigation to confirm the diagnosis and further management.
Is she having any symptoms?
Why did you go for the ultrasound?
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
Regards

She got the ultrasound a few days ago and had a MRI today. Results from MRI aren't in yet. From what dr google is telling me ovarian cysts are only cancerous about 10 percent of the time would you say thsts accurate?
Brief Answer:
MRI is more diagnostic.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I can understand your concerns towards your mother and you are right that ovarian cyst are usually benign in nature. However in view of her post menopausal state and the fact this mass is reported as "complex" in nature, I wouldn't neglect it as benign. I will insist we probe further. And MRI is useful here.
You may also know more from her gynecologist who examined her.
Hope you found this useful.
Good luck
