What Does My Ultrasound Test Report Indicate?
Question: Spot in testical found during ultrasound. What kind of questions should I ask the urologist I am referred to? Also, is this a common finding?
Here are my ultrasound results
COMPARISON: None
INDICATION: Right side tenderness.
FINDINGS: Multiple longitudinal transverse sonograms of the testicles were
obtained bilaterally. The right testicle is overall normal in size and
echogenicity measuring 4.4 x 2.5 x 3.0 cm. The right epididymis measures 0.9 x
1.0 x 1.7 cm. No abnormal epididymal masses are seen. Within the mid right
testicle there is a tiny 2 mm hypoechoic focus, which is too small for further
characterization. No other scrotal masses or abnormal calcifications are
identified.
The left testicle is normal in size and echogenicity measuring 4.4 x 2.8 x 3.3
cm.
The left epididymis measures 9 x 1.1 x 2.0 cm. Within the left epididymal head
there is a 6 x 5 x 7 mm anechoic epididymal cyst versus spermatocele. No
additional lesions are identified. No abnormal masses are seen within the left
testicle.
Duplex evaluation demonstrates symmetric t intratesticular flow bilaterally with
bilateral arterial waveforms identified.
There is a small right hydrocele.

Brief Answer:
Hypoechic mass could be a small tumor in Testicle .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been detected to have a small (2mm ) hypo-echoic mass in Rt testicle .
The hypo-echoic mass is most likely to be a small tumor in the testicle and the nature of the same has to be confirmed by doing a Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology(FNAC).
The Urologist whom you are consulting will explain you about the procedure .You can ask him regarding the possibilities of nature of this tumor and further treatment .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you

Thank you for your response. I have one more question. When I was at my gp he checked my prostate because I have been getting up frequently during the night to urinate. He said my prostate felt enlarged, but not nodular. He put me on antibiotics for the issue. Could this be releated to my testicle issue?
