Brief Answer:
Needs further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and understand the concern.

Normally, albumin which is a one kind of protein does not pass through urine by kidneys,so it's presence could be indicative of some underlying kidney disease like acute inflammation of kidney or diabetic kidney etc.

However,it should be further evaluated by complete clinical examination and various tests.

So,you should see Nephrologist (kidney specialist) who will order routine blood works, kidney function tests, and abdominal ultrasound to identify the underlying cause for urine protein.

Also,it would be helpful for me to guide you better if you could provide more information of your daughter's clinical symptoms and share that urine test report.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
