What Does My Urine Test Result Indicate?
Question: I got 40-60 RBC/HPF in my urine test. kindly advise why it happens and what i need to cure it. is it something serious or routine.yesterday i did running for 5 km and i feel some burn in my urinal and when i pee i found pink urine and the same thing happen today also. this happen only once after running and rest of the day i got normal urine. please advise if it is serious or normal and do i need to take more precation or undergo any kind of test?

1) Do you have any other urinary symptoms like frequency ,urgency,burning etc ?
2) Do you have pain in abdomen ?
3) Is there family history of kidney stone disease ?
The cause of hematuria needs to be investigated to trace out the source of blood.It could be due to one of the two causes
1) UTI
2) Stone disease.
3)Nephropathy
Please consult qualified Urologist/Nephrologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Renal function tests
.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
