What Does "no Yolk Sack,no Fetal Pole And No Heart Beats Are Heard" Mean?

Question: HI
My baby is not growing after 5 weeks,In 6th week sonography no yolk sack, no fetal pole and no heart beats are heard.
Pregnancy was conceived by IUI and was confirmed by HCG level test and first sonography.
what could be possible reason?

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply

1. If you have seen gestational sac on ultrasound scan and nothing else it is called blighted ovum.

2. The most common reason being chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus which cause this.

3. This happens when there is abnormalities in baby.

4. As of now please wait for another week. If there is delayed implantation the heartbeat might appear late.
