Question: Hello,
I have metastasized BRAF colon cancer.A tumor was remove from the colon as well as 12 inches. The liver had multiple tumors but only one last one 11.5 cm.After 11 Folfox treatments including Avastin. The main tumor had been reduced to 4cm and the smaller ones were either not visible or too small to measure.I also had 7 of 22 lymph nodes effected

Two treatments ago my platelet count was 75 and the doc tor sent me home. Two days later it was 116 and J received my treatment.I then switched to the University of XXXXXXX and my next treatment my platelet count was 76 but this time I received the treatment.I think the oxiplatin will be removed from my next treatment but all other drugs continue.

Is there some way I can tell the doctor to give me the treatment before net Friday if my platelet count is normal

Last Friday I went back for my second treatment and palettes ward 28atment and come back in two weeks>I told him lat time the recovered in 48 hours and I was very concerned without chemo for two weeks. After the colon surgery I had to wait for three weeks for chemo.During this time the tumors had brown substantially.

Brief Answer:
HEllo dear. If platelet count is normal, chemo can be given

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So the FOLFOX plus avastin protocol which you are receiving is a good protocol. If the platelet count is more than 1 lakh, and the interval from last chemo is 14 days, you can receive the next chemo.
Oxaliplatin can be removed of you are experiening side effects like neuropathy, however for a low platelet counts, dose may be reduced.
Thanks and regards

Brief Answer:
Yes you can insist

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. We need a count of atleast 1 lakh. Also leucocyte should be more than 4000. If they are more than that, you can ask for chemo.
Thanks and regards
