Hello!
Welcome back on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to different possible causes:
- a small stroke. The fact that your complains are only in the left limbs can indicate possible stroke (considering your risk factors)
- an electrolyte imbalance (this would not explain why your complains are only on the left limbs).
For this reason, I would recommend performing a brain MRI to exclude a possible stroke. Some other blood lab tests are also necessary:
- fasting glucose for diabetes
- blood lipid profile for dyslipidemia
- blood electrolytes for electrolyte imbalance
- kidney and liver function tests
- complete blood count for anemia.
You should know that evidence of a stroke is given by the brain MRI, it will be important to take daily baby aspirin in the future to prevent possible future stroke. A better control of all cardio-vascular risk factors (hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking or alcohol) is really necessary in this clinical situation.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope to have been helpful!
