What Does Persistent Headaches In A Child Suggest?
Question: my daughter is 12 years old, has complained of headaches for 2+ months now, also sciatica that now goes into her legs, very lethargic. Had an MRI of her brain which was normal, but showed a sinus infection in her upper sinus. Treated for amoxicillin, then stronger antibiotic + prednisone (3 days only). Lots of ibuprofen, but still not much better. Have seen her pediatrician, a D.O., an ENT and trying to get into a pediatric neurologist. Has been tested for mono and tested negative. Sciatica appears to be worse than headaches now. Any ideas?
