Question: My wife has a fever blister on the corner of her mouth. She's recovering from a bad cold. and my 7 month old boy has now developed yellow puss coming out of his right eye. Could she have infected him? He has been sneezing a lot but has no other signs of a cold. We think he may have a cold. We have cleaned his eyes like six times

I reviewed your history.
These symptoms indicate infection of the eye in the form of conjunctivitis.

It is possible that this has spread from his mother.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drops.
Along with this cold requires treatment in consultation with paediatric doctor.
