What Does Renal Pelvis Dilatation During Pregnancy Mean?

Follow up with sequential scanning
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms XXXXXX
Renal pelvis dilatation is one of the common renal anamoly detected of antenatal ultrasound scan. Renal pelvis AP diameter of 7mm is unlikely to be cause for concern. In majority of cases sequential scanning done will show decrease and normalization of diameter.
Repeat scan after 4 weeks. Once the baby is born, get a scan done on 3rd day of life for further assessment. I hope there was no dilatation of ureter, no bladder abnormality and no posterior urethra dilatation.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance.
Keep me updated.
Take Care
