Question: What do radiologists look for in ovaries that would indicate a suspiscous finding?
What does streaming vs homogenous low echoes mean. Is this of concern for malignancy?
Also, is it a good indicator if cysts get smaller?

Brief Answer:
If size of cyst decreases, it is a good sign.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXX

As we discussed earlier, USG findings are not suggestive of ovarian malignancy.
Ovarian cancer is indicated by many things like solid mass/papillary projections etc within the ovary. However,USG is is not confirmatory.
Patient need further evaluation like CT/MRI scan, tumour markers.

Your USG findings are suggestive of endometrioma or infected cyst. You need proper screening of cancer and follow up USG. If size of cysts get smaller in size, it is a good indicator.

Echoes with the cyst doesn't indicate malignancy. Echoes suggest infection/blood etc.

Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.

Do you have any statistics to share with me regarding accuracy of us in diagnosing endometria's? I continue to look for reassurance that I do not gave cancer.

Also, can you get endometria's if you do not have a past diagnosis of endometriosis?

Thanks again

Brief Answer:
TVS with pelvic examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Trans vaginal ultrasound(TVS) combined with pelvic examination is very sensitive (up to 92 %)in detecting endometrioma.

Patients may be asymptomatic with this pathology,so past history of endometriosis is not always there.
