What Does The Following X-ray Result While Suffering From Back Pain Indicate?
Question: I had upper back pain and did an X-ray the results says the following.
Spine, thoracic , 4 views.
Clinical data: Evaluate T6-7 for bony abnormality .
COMPARISON: None .
FINDINGS: No fracture, dislocation, subluxation, or paraspinal soft tissue
swelling is evident . There is minimal dorsal scoliosis of thoracic spine with
7 degrees of curvature measured from superior endplate of T5 to inferior
endplate of T11, apex at T7. No osseous abnormality seen in mid thoracic spine.
No significant degenerative changes. Several rounded dense foci project over
the superior aspect of left first rib on frontal view which are not seen in
lateral view. Possibly supraclavicular calcified nodes versus overlying foreign
body.
Impression:
IMPRESSION:
1. No acute osseous injury evident .
2. Mild dextroscoliosis of thoracic spine.
3. Dense foci projecting superior to left first rib on frontal view may
represent overlying foreign body versus calcified left supraclavicular nodes, in
which case evidence of old granulomatous disease.
Is there anything to worry ? I am worried about #2 and #3 and

I had pain in the tail bone long time back 2006. But It got cured by itself.
But now I have upper back pain and lower back pain.
two symptoms,
1) I feel my left ring finger and pinky finger numb on my palm.
2) I have lower back pain started two days ago and it is causing my left feet toe numb as well. The pain is around the hip and I feel it constant pain.
3) the upper back pain is like a burning sensation pain not sure if I hurt my muscles .
Also when I had warm and clod compress the pain goes away and if I stretch it goes away, I am not sure if there is something wrong with my spine :( I am worried a lot now.
I sit a lot not sure if it is causing the issue. I am not over weight. I am 5' 11' and 172 lbs .
NO

Ideally, you need loading dose of 6 lacs unit intra muscular, single dose.
Followed by once a week 60000 units for 2 months (8 doses) . And then 250 units daily as maintainance therapy for 6-8 months.
This is the standard protocol for supplementation of vitamin D3 in severe deficiency.
No need to worry for other things. Vitamin D3 supplementation is required.
