Brief Answer:
No simple answer. Explained the options
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
First, surgeons prefer to operate when there is no ongoing infection.
This avoids surgical site infections.
However, the procedure is almost a week away.
So if you improve by then , the surgeon may plan to go ahead.
Besides, post operative medicines are also given that include antibiotics.
So if the surgical team feels that the ongoing infection is not severe, they may again go forward with the surgery.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
