What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Indicate?
Question: sir i am XXXX ... 34 yrs old...i recently carried out my semen analysis.... my reports are as under
1. ampicillin - R 6. gentamicin - S
2. norfloxacin - R 7. cefotoxime - S
3. amikacln - S
4. netilmilin - S
5. amoxyclin - R

Your semen should have been tested after two days abstinence.i.e.avoid intercourse for atleast 2 days. The report you've sent, is incomplete.
A proper semen analysis has details of semen volume, froctose presence,sperm count,
sperm motility, sperm morphology,density,etc.
your report shows only names of antibiotics. Perhaps this is a culture sensitivity report. kindly send the full report for an opinion.

Yes sir it was only for semen culture and HSA....so do I have infection...as my spouse had problems of itching after having contact... We are in the planning stage...what medication or precautions should I take ?

It's best you attach the full semen analysis and culture report. The report only shows name of bacteria. Full culture report will reveal name of bacteria with concentration of bacterial growth.
Treatment is suggested only when bacterial growth concentration is significant.
At the moment if your wife has itching after intercourse, she needs a gynecologist check-up. Till the treatment of infection is over, avoid any intercourse.
Further I am not sure what you meant by HSA.
you should get blood sugar also checked.
