What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Indicate?
Question: Hi Doctor, My age is 30 years . Married since 2013 and recently from 8 months we have started baby planning. My wife was diagnosed with a hemorrhagic cyst 6 months ago and since then her gyneac has started her with Dupheston from 10th - 25th day, folic acid & GD Met. Size of cyst is 2.5 cms and it has remained the same till date.
3 months back i did my semen analysis to check my fertility in which all parameters were normal accept liquefaction time which was around 1 hr 50 minutes as per report. I did not consult nor started any treatment. I repeated my test recently and found that the liquefaction time is 50 minutes now.
My concerns are as follows -
1. How to over come the delay in liquefaction time , is this effecting conceiving ?
2. What treatment / tablets / necessary changes in life style is needed to reduce the liquefaction time to normal range of 20 - 30 mts ?
3. Is my wife's cyst causing a problem in conceiving?
4. Why is it my liquefaction time was 1hr 50 mts 3 months ago and reduced to 50 mins now ?
5. Pls go through my semen analysis report attached and advise accordingly..
6. We are planning every alternative days after her cycles from 5 th day , pls advise if its too short for planning and sometimes i get fed up of planning. Hence i started taking Ashwasheela capsule for enhancing our sexual activity.
FYI 1st & 2nd report samples were given after a ejaculation gap of 3 days.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Probable Acute Prostatis,needs antibiotic course.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I can understand your concerns.
Delayed liquifaction time can be due to underlying Prostatic infection /Acute prostatis.
I advise you to start oral antibiotics for 14 days by consulting your doctor and repeat the semen analysis after 2weeks.
Both low liquifaction time and Ovarian cyst can hinder the chances of pregnancy.
Iam unable to open the reports attached( no preview available).
So upload the reports again.
