You may wait and watch for a day
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The report is suggestive of bacterial infection. But as the baby is asymptomatic, I would recommend you to wait for a day before starting any definitive treatment. In case the baby has increased frequency of loose, watery stools with blood/mucus then start him on Cefixime drops (10mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses for 5 days).
At present, you may start him on ZnD drops (0.5 ml once daily for 2 weeks). This will help in improving her immunity for such infections. Maintain proper hydration by regular feeds. Try exclusive breastfeeding if possible. Ensure asepsis if you give formula feeds.
Hope it will be of help.
Take care
