Brief Answer:
Hypothyroidism, needs treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your lab reports. You are having hypothyroidism and vitamin D deficiency.
Your thyroid hormones ( T3 & T4) are low and TSH is high. This means you are having hypothyroidism ( under functioning thyroid gland). You need thyroid hormone replacement- which your doctor has already started ( Thyronorm 100 mcg). This is not a serious condition, but need to be treated properly.
You need to have vitamin D replacement for vitamin D deficiency.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry. No side effects
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Welcome back.
Don't worry. In hypothyroidism, your thyroid is not producing enough thyroid hormones. So we are replacing you with thyroid hormone. This is not associated with any side effects. You need not change your lifestyle for hypothyroidism. You just need to take the tablet regularly in morning empty stomach.

Brief Answer:
It depends on the cause of hypothyroidism
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Welcome back.
The dietary restrictions in hypothyroidism depends on its cause. There are 2 major causes
1. Iodine deficiency hypothyroidism
Here we can increase the iodine intake by increasing diet rich in iodine like seafoods, iodised salt etc. Diet which decrease iodine like cabbage, cauliflower, millets, tapioca etc has to be restricted.
2. Auto immune hypothyroidism
Here no diet restrictions are needed.
The two types can be identified by a blood tests - anti thyroid antibodies (anti TPO).
