What Does The Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Question: Hi, I am 33 years old. Since past 2 years i am trying for family planning but still did't got any success. I have took advise from 3-4 gynecologist & they asked me to do some tests. So i have done semen analysis test & count was less than 20 millions & doctors advised me to continue productive M & COQ forte medicine till we get success. Since past 4 months i have continued the medicine but still no positive result as such.

Please advise what to do further.

Thanks for your prompt response. Yes I have done semen test 4 months ago but as of now I have not done.

Regarding my wife went for some tube test, don't recollect the name as of now.

We were told that there is some blockage in tubes.

Then what to do next??

Yes we did this test. According to report; the blockage is there but as per doctor consent it is not there.

Fertilization needs normal uterine cavity, patent tubes, mature egg, good quality active sperm and luck. Tubal patency is a must so one must be sure it is patent. Please talk to infertility specialist clearly to know the tubal patency otherwise IVF if the only option.

My wife diagnosed with Hepatitis B a year back & we don't know the severity of the disease. Is this going to impact her pregnancy??

Hello

Hepatitis B can be transmitted from mother to baby at the time of delivery. You should get your wife checked for HBe Antigen as well. If that is positive, chances are much more. It all depends on the viral load. If it is cleared, the chances may be less. Getting pregnancy will not be affected.

Your wife's report clearly states that both tubes are blocked so it is not possible to conceive in normal may or IUI. You semen report also shows reduced count with hypo motility . Kindly repeat semen analysis from a good lab after 2 days abstinence. You can try for hydro-tubation ,if some body is doing that . First get her tested for possibly tuberculosis of tubes. Chances are remote but try.
