ecg shows complete heart block
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXXXXX
1. The ECG you have attached clearly shows Complete heart block with a ventricular rate of 40 beats per minute with wide complex QRS rhythm. This itself is an indication for permanent pacemaker implantation in a 70 year old subject provided there is no known reversible cause for same. The reversible causes include anginal heart disease (ischemia), medicines which slow down heart, electrolyte imbalances and aortic valve disease. There are other infrequent causes too.
2. Her TSH, hemoglobin and creatinine are normal.
3. My recommendation is to see a good interventional cardiologist at the earliest and take suitable action as per his advice.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
