What Does This MRI Report Indicate?
Question: The findings of my MRI states,
There is straightening and slight reversal of the normal cervical lordosis centered at C5-C6. There is 1.5 mm retrolisthesis of C5 on C6.
There is moderate disc desiccation and mild loss of disc height at C5-C6 and C6-C7 and mild disc desiccation at C3-C4 and C4-C5.
There are normal flow voids in the vertebral arteries and carotid arteries bilaterally.
It then goes on to list how I have bilateral uncovertebral joint disease, bilateral facet arthropathy and foraminal narrowing in other cervical discs.
What does this mean, especially the normal flow voids. I have been to the ER 3 times in less than a month for uncontrollable BP and rapid heart rates. I tested positive on 3 blood clot tests, but no blood clot was seen on the CT of my lungs.

It seems you are suffering from degenerative disc disease & it occurs due to repetitive overload or stress to the disc & it increases the risk of disc herniation & spinal canal stenosis.
The spinal canal is guarded by the vertebrae which separated from one another by a cushion like intervertebral discs. With age, degenerative changes occur which leads to disc prolapse and spinal cord/nerve root compression. This has happened at level of C3-C7 in your case.
Normal flow voids in the vertebral arteries and carotid arteries means that there is no any obstruction or occlusion in these arteries and blood flow is normal.
